Donna Anne Hicks

Donna Anne Hicks, 79, of Gibsonia, Pine Township, passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born May 7, 1942, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Emma Spohrer Boice.

She had worked as a food service worker for Sodexo in the cafeteria at Pine-Richland High School. She had formerly owned and operated Donna’s Kitchen.

Donna was a member of the Valencia United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Karen Scanlon of Gibsonia, and Janice Brinkmiller (Mark) of Aldie, Va.; her grandchildren, Christopher and Derek (Katie) Scanlon, and Ashley Mihelarakis; her great-grandchildren, Zachary Golla, Jacob Scanlon, Alexa Carter and Hope Scanlon; a sister, Dayle Kaufman (Barry) of Butler; and two brothers, David Boice (Mary) of Allison Park, and Dennis Boice of Butler.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd T. Hicks, whom she married on Dec. 9, 1960, and who died in March 25, 1999.

HICKS — Friends of Donna Anne Hicks, who died Wednesday, June 9, 2021, will be received from 1 to 3 and 5 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, at McDonald-Aeberli Funeral Home, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Bob Martin officiating.

Burial will be in West Union Cemetery, Pine Township.
