Lt. Col. Aaron Elliott

U.S. Army Lt. Col. Aaron Elliott, son of Robert and Linda Elliott of Prospect, recently earned his doctorate of nursing practice from Duke University.

Elliott earned his degree while serving on active duty. Since graduation, he assumed the role of program director of the Army’s Phase 2 Nurse Anesthesia School at William Beaumont Army Medical Center, Fort Bliss, Texas.

Elliott has been an Army nurse anesthetist for 17 years and has spent more than 21 months in Iraq for combat tours. He and his wife, Tamara, have two children, Conner and Cheyenne, and live in El Paso, Texas.

U.S. Air Force Airman Joseph Spignesi graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Spignesi is the son of Maureen Spignesi of Glen Eden Road, Zelienople, and David Spignesi of Ellwood City.

He is a 2006 graduate of Freedom Area High School.
