McConnells Mill State Park in Slippery Rock Township, just over the county line into Lawrence County off Route 422, has the gristmill open from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays until Labor Day. Interpretive Tours are offered at 1 and 2 p.m. and by appointment. Admission, parking and tours are free. Pizza on the Grill is planned for 11 a.m. Sunday at the Kildoo Picnic Area. A program on the Industrial History of Moraine and McConnells Mill is set for 1 p.m. July 17 at the Region 2 Office Conference Room, 195 Park Road, Prospect.
