KARNS CITY — Students at Karns City High School will present the musical "Les Miserables" Thursday through March 11 in the school auditorium, 1446 Kittanning Pike.

Performances are set for 7:30 p.m. each day, with a second, 2 p.m. show on March 11.

Tickets are being sold for $6.50 presale or $7.50 at the door.

Based on the book by French novelist Victor Hugo, the story focuses on an ex-convict's struggle to redeem himself over a 20-year period in the early 19th century.

Adult directors and staff include Beth Ackelson as director, Dorinda Aigner as music director and Robert Snodgrass Jr. as choreographer.
