Arthur Harold “Art” McAnallen
Arthur Harold “Art” McAnallen, 86, of Butler passed away Thursday while under the care of the VA Butler Healthcare.
Born July 17, 1930, in Butler, he was the son of the late Melvin Merle and Ella Margaret Young McAnallen.
Mac was a faithful member of Community Alliance Church in Butler. He proudly served our country in the United States Army during the Korean War. He worked as a painter for the VA Butler Healthcare until his retirement in 1985 and drove a school bus for Butler School District. In his free-time, he enjoyed puzzles, painting, coloring, watching NASCAR and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Mac is survived by his beloved wife, Ruth A. Horton McAnallen; his sons, David (Sharon) McAnallen of Karns City, and Douglas (Debbie) McAnallen of Butler; a daughter, Darla (Doug) Culbertson of Butler; twelve grandchildren, Tina (Jeff) Huba, Amber Young, Stacy (David) Rodgers, Rachelle (Jimmy) Trbusich, David (Megan) McAnallen, Heather (Corey) Allison, Gina (Steven) Goodman, Melissa McAnallen, Diana (Jason) Wulff, Sara (Jesse) Schmidt, Sean Culbertson and Austin McAnallen; eighteen great-grandchildren, Samantha, Paul, Ariane, Mahalia, Dominick, Adalee, Emma, Skylar, David, Liam, Evan, Makenna, Laiken, Sophia, Vincent, Elise, Weston and Samuel; four step-great-grandchildren, Gracie, Vivianne, Savanna and Kaylee; a brother, Ralph (Mary) McAnallen of Salmon, Idaho; a sister, Alice Johnson of Butler, and a sister-in-law, Thelma McAnallen of Butler.
In addition to his parents, Mac was preceded in death by two daughters, Diana and Donna; a granddaughter, Lisa; a sister and three brothers.
MCANALLEN — Friends of Arthur Harold “Art” McAnallen, who passed away Thursday, Dec. 1, 2016, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the Boylan Funeral Home and Cremation Center of Connoquenessing Township, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
Additional visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday until the time of a funeral ceremony at 11 a.m. at the Community Alliance Church, 800 Mercer Road, with the Rev. Denny Krajacic, pastor, officiating.
A private interment will take place at Butler County Memorial Park.
