Jeffery A. Sarver

Jeffery A. Sarver, 64, of Olean, N.Y., formerly of Butler, died Tuesday at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, N.Y., following a brief illness.

Born Nov. 6, 1951, in Butler, he was the son of Nancy Jewell Sarver of Butler and the late C. Dallas Sarver Sr. He was married Aug. 18, 2001, in St. Mary's Episcopal Church to the former Kathleen Metzler, who survives.

He had been employed in security at the Seneca Allegany Casino in Salamanca, N.Y. Previously, he had been a truck driver for Butler Trucking.

Mr. Sarver was a former social member of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post 535 and the Holy Cross Athletic Club.

Surviving besides his wife and mother are three sons, Jeffrey A. (Judy) Sarver of Charlotte, N.C., Rex “Burt” (Amanda) Sarver of Mooresville, N.C., and Patrick Sarver of Jefferson, Maine; three daughters, Victoria Sarver of Jefferson, Maine, Anna Sarver of Jefferson, Maine, and Leaudra (Dylan Hackett) Sarver of Salamanca, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Paige, Chase, Theodore and Dakota; his brother, C. Dallas (Mary) Sarver Jr. of West Sunbury; three sisters, Deborah Minor of Cincinnati, Ohio, Cindy (Lewis) Haney of Dayton, Ohio, and Susan (Robert) Perkins of Evans City; and several nieces and nephews.

SARVER — Family and friends of Jeffrey A. Sarver, who died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2016, will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral service will immediately follow at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Jarrod Crawford of St. John's Reformed Church officiating.
