Carol Ann York
Carol Ann York, 67, of Dallas, Texas, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes Feb. 23.
She was born April 4, 1948, in Butler, to S. Alfred and Betty N. (Russin) York.
Following her graduation from Middletown High School, Carol graduated from Capital University with a bachelor's degree in education.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents, S. Alfred and Betty N. York of Middletown, Ohio.
Carol is survived by her sister, Allene (Richard) North of Upper Sandusky, Ohio; her nephews, Ryan (Jessica) and Peter (Lindsey) North; and her great-nieces and great-nephews, Caleb, Cody and Cara and Ardyn, Liam, Ellyn and Mason.
She retired in May 2015 from the Dallas Independent School District with plans of traveling. Carol had a passion for learning new languages. Early in her career, she traveled throughout Europe and taught at the American School in Warsaw, Poland.
Carol had a love for art, and for teaching others. She was so happy to learn of how her influence and teaching affected her students' career paths.
Carol was the constant networker and communicator, reaching out to family and friends and connecting them with one another.
YORK — A visitation and memorial service for Carol Ann York, who died Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2016, will be from 12:30 to 2 p.m. June 10 in the chapel at the Butler County Memorial Park, 380 Evans City Road, Butler. The burial will follow immediately after the service.Memorials may be made in support of a local hospice of your choice in honor of the great care hospice gave Carol's parents.
