Susan J. Kline
Susan J. (Brittner) Kline, 65, of Harmony passed away peacefully Thursday with her loving husband, Kenneth, by her side.
Susan was born May 11, 1951, to the late Leonard and Mildred (Luteran) Brittner in Pittsburgh. She spent the first eight years of her life in Pittsburgh until her father felt the city was too much for his growing family and bought land in Zelienople.
She went to St. Gregory Catholic School and from there she graduated from Seneca Valley High School in 1969.
After graduation, she worked a few different jobs, Frank Lamb's “Zelienople Restaurant” as a waitress and then Mashuda's, where she did secretarial work. She then took a short vacation for over 20 years after her children were grown and worked for ACI in Cranberry Township, until it shut its doors.
She was an avid knitter, constantly coming up with her own patterns and making creative designs. She also enjoyed playing computer games. Above all, she will be missed mostly for being the glue that held the family together. She always had a smile and would never say anything unkind about anyone.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Kenneth, whom she married Oct. 14, 1972; her daughter, Jennifer Reeder and her husband, Joe, of Butler; her son, Kenny and his wife, Jamie, of Pymatuning, and their six children, Breanne, Brandon, Sean, Shane, Savannah and Kaitlyn; her sister, Karen Ruby and her husband, John, of Harmony; her two brothers, Kenneth Fleet and his wife, Claudia, of North Fort Myers, Fla., and Frederick and his wife, Linda, of Emlenton. She also leaves behind her sister-in-law, Linda Brittner of Zelienople; and many aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Aside from her parents, she was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Leonard (Bucky) Brittner, formerly of Zelienople, and Thomas (Woody) Brittner, formerly of Butler; and her granddaughter, Taylor Lee Shamblan.
