William “Bull” F. Carroll

William “Bull” F. Carroll, 67, of Butler passed away at his home Aug. 3.

Born July 16, 1949, in Wheeling, W.Va., he was the son of Loraine Ney Carroll and the late George A. Carroll Sr.

Bill grew up in St. Clairsville, Ohio, and graduated in 1967 from Seton Central Catholic High School in Lafferty, Ohio. Following graduation, he attended Ohio University.

He served his country as a medic in the U.S. Army Reserve.

He was employed in the early 1970s as a chicken sexer at Macks Hatchery in West Sunbury. Bill then enjoyed a successful career in conveyor manufacturing sales from which he retired in 2011.

He enjoyed golf and bowling, and was in several leagues throughout the Butler area. He was avid hunter and fisherman. His love for the outdoors led him to volunteer for the preservation and restoration of Preston Park. Bill would be honored if others would become volunteers with the Monday Morning Maintenance Crew. Bill is survived by his wife, Nancy Schweizer Carroll, formerly of Wheeling, W.Va., who he married April 28, 1973.

Also surviving are his mother, Loraine Ney Carroll of Springfield Ohio; his son, Matthew Carroll of Dyer, Ind.; his daughter Elizabeth (Raymundo) Aguilar Carroll of Pittsburgh; and his son, Jeffery (April) Carroll of Baden,

Bull, as lovingly named by his grandchildren, was fulfilled when spending time with Brody, Ashleigh, Saga, Liam, Rio, Raymi and Parker.

Also surviving are his siblings, Anne Carroll, Margaret Carroll, Sarah Grimes and Dorothy Conaway, all of Springfield, Ohio, George (Deborah) Carroll Jr. of St. Clairsville, Ohio, Joan (Galen Miller) Carroll of Sod, W.Va., and Ruth (David) Grimm of Carroll, Ohio; a number of nieces and nephews; and the family of his loving wife.

CARROLL — The family of William “Bull” F. Carroll, who died Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2016, will welcome friends from 2 to 8 p.m. Friday at the BOYLAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION CENTER OF CONNOQUENESSING TOWNSHIP, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.A celebration of Bill's life will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.Bill requested that in lieu of flowers donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, P.O.
