Donald F. “Dink” Colangeli

Donald F. “Dink” Colangeli, 62, of Clinton Township passed away Wednesday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital.

Donald was born on Dec. 21, 1955, in Natrona Heights, and was the son of the late Ezio and Geraldine (Thiemann) Colangeli.

He was a 1974 graduate of Knoch High School. He was also a 1999 graduate of ITT Technical Institute in Monroeville, where he received an associate degree in specialized technology and electronics engineering technology. He graduated from ITT as the valedictorian with perfect attendance, high honors and student of the quarter in 1999.

He was a member of the National Vocational Technical Honor Society.

Donald worked for ATI in Brackenridge, from where he retired this year.

He was a member of Center United Methodist Church in Fawn Township.

He loved all sports, especially racing. He loved crossword and sudoku puzzles, “Jeopardy,” riding his Harley Davidson, and tinkering and fixing just about anything.

Donald is survived by his wife, Jill L. (Kennedy) Colangeli; his stepdaughter, Harley Moser; the family dog, Angel; and the family cats, Carter and Maria.

He is also survived by his brothers, Anthony (Buffy) Colangeli of Sarver and Brian (Jennifer) Colangeli of Slate Lick; his sisters, Sheryl “Squirrel” (Michael Miller) Colangeli of Clinton Township, Leslie (Larry) Wolf of Clinton Township, Nancy (Jack) Gardner of Sewickley, Amy (Paul) Smith of Chicora, Jill (Paul) Mahan of Clinton Township, and Julie Diamond of Butler; many nieces and nephews; his in-laws, James L. and Rita (Critchlow) Kennedy; and his daughter, Dana Colangeli and her children.

COLANGELI — Friends and relatives of Donald F. “Dink” Colangeli, who died Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2018, are invited to attend visitation from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Adam Siemianowski Funeral Home, 179 Starr Road, Russellton.Services will be held at 8 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home.For online condolences, please visit www.westdeerfuneralhome.com.
