Mildred A. “Millie” Frederick Blatt

Mildred A. “Millie” Frederick Blatt, 88, of Chicora passed away Friday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice.

She was born April 29, 1928, in Butler to the late Albert J. Frederick and the late Elsie Fisher Frederick.

Mrs. Blatt was a member of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church. She enjoyed taking care of her family.

Millie is survived by her grandson, Chad Young, and his wife, Kim, of Lutz, Fla.; two great-grandchildren, Austin and Emily; one son-in-law, Denny Young and his wife, Nancy, of Chicora; one brother-in-law, Hayden Robertson of Medford, Ore.; and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, George W. Blatt, who she married on Jan. 15, 1949, and who passed away on Aug. 4, 2005; a daughter, Judy Young; a grandson, Mick Young; a brother, Richard Frederick and his wife, Doris; and five sisters, Anna Geibel and her husband, Andrew, Hazel Scott and her husband, Tom, Marie Smith and her husband, Frank, Effie Moser and her husband, Glenn, and Birdie Robertson.

BLATT — Friends of Mildred A. “Millie” Frederick Blatt, who died Friday, Dec. 30, 2016, will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday at he funeral home with the Rev. Dr. Alden Towberman of St. Mark’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, officiating.

Private burial will take place in the North Butler Cemetery of Oakland Township.
