Ellen Pry

Ellen T. (Frey) Pry, 89, of West Sunbury passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Born on April 25, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Ellen was the daughter of the late John William Ambrose Frey and late Ellen Marie Andrew Frey.

She was a member of St. Faustina Parish. She retired from Allegheny Valley Schools as a director.

Ellen is survived by two daughters, Teresa M. (Rick) Stoner of Butler and Irene C. (Jeff) Gankosky of Brockway; and nine sons, Gerald “Russell” (Patricia J.) Pry of Harvest, Ala., Carl J. (Judy) Pry of East Springfield, Pa., Daniel W. (Sally) Pry of Slippery Rock, Raymond F. (Diana) Pry of Enon, Ohio, James L. (Kimberly) Pry of Monongahela, Michael V. (Mary) Pry of Butler, David J. (Maura) Pry of West Sunbury, George C. (Maria) Pry of West Sunbury and John W. (Taryn) Pry of Sparta, N.J. She is also survived by 36 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren; one brother, Bernie (Irene) Frey of Virginia; three sisters-in-law, Sue Frey of Dallas Texas, Lorraine Frey of Santa Maria, Calif., and Kathryn Frey of Lancaster, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews.

Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald J. Pry, and 11 brothers and sisters.

PRY — Family and friends of Ellen T. (Frey) Pry, who died Saturday, May 14, 2022, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the WILLIAM F YOUNG FUNERAL HOME, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Church of St. Faustina Parish, West Sunbury with Father Adam Verona and Father Charles Baptiste, officiating.

Burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Faustina Parish 342 Normal Ave., Slippery Rock PA 16057.
