Christopher David Buhler, 68, of Harrisville, and formerly of Slippery Rock, passed away at his residence Thursday, May 12, 2022.

He was the son of Herbert John Buhler and Nina Jule Rushmore Buhler.

Chris graduated from Slippery Rock High School. He was a guitar player extraordinaire. He was a professional guitar player and known for his amazing bluesy vocals. Chris was also a songwriter. His passion was fly fishing and his love for his children.

Chris played guitar and was a vocalist in the Praise Band at Grove City United Methodist Church for 7 years.

Survivors include his loving and faithful companion of 17 years, Barbara J. Hinkle, of the residence in Harrisville; a daughter, Nyomin Buhler (David Hadok) Buhler of Pittsburgh; sons, Rory (Amanda) Buhler of Grove City and Taylor Buhler (Grascen Shidemantle) of Cortland, N.Y.; and sister, Rebecca, living in Germany.

He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Johnathan.

BUHLER — The family of Christopher David Buhler, who died Thursday, May 12, 2022, will hold a church memorial service at 3 p.m. Friday at the Grace United Methodist Church, 210 S. Broad St. Grove City. A meal will follow immediately at the church.

The family also intend have a celebration of life service to be announced later this summer.

Arrangements are by SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St. Slippery Rock.
