Maxine D. Sheler Fisher

Maxine D. Sheler Fisher, 70, of Butler, passed away Tuesday at her residence.

She was born Feb. 1, 1947, in New Castle to the late Carl E. Sheler and the late Pauline E. Durnell Sheler.

Maxine was a receptionist at ServiStar in East Butler and also at Guardian Building Products in Butler, retiring in 2008. She also was a Mary Kay Consultant.

Maxine was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was actively involved at the First United Methodist Church Cancer Care Ministry. She enjoyed card club, bowling, family game nights and was a dog lover. Maxine's greatest joy was spoiling those she loved, especially those who called her “Grammy.”

Maxine is survived by her husband Donald, whom she married on Aug. 2, 1975; two daughters, Andrea Rhoden and her husband Danny of Waynesville, Ohio, and Lindsay Viatori and her husband Ben of Butler; four grandchildren, Andrew, Aaron, Danielle and Dawnika Rhoden; one sister, Marlene Morrow of Karns City; and a number of nieces and nephews.

FISHER — Friends of Maxine D. Sheler Fisher who died Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, at Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St. Butler, with Pastor Eric Park of the First United Methodist Church, officiating.Burial will take place in the Butler County Memorial Park.In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to First United Methodist Church Cancer Care Ministry, 200 E.
