SARVER — The Pieceful Patchers Quilt Guild will host a presentation from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Heide Hall, 409 Sarver Road.

Pat Knoechel will give a presentation on the Day & Night, the Lover's Knot, How Charming and Fox & Geese.

CRANBERRY TWP — The St. Kilian Parish School will hold a family fashion show and auction from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. March 29 at the Pittsburgh Marriott North, Route 228.Among the models will be James Harrison of the Pittsburgh Steelers. School children, families and school employees also will model. Proceeds will benefit the school.

CHERRY TWP — The Moniteau Education Association and district support staff will present the 2009 spring carnival from 6 to 9 p.m. April 3 at Moniteau High School on Route 308.All proceeds will benefit the Moniteau School District's clubs and organizations, as well as the MEA Scholarship Fund.

HARRISVILLE — A spring bazaar will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 4 at the Harrisville Fire Hall, Route 58.The event will include a Chinese auction, and refreshments will be available. For information, call 724-735-4646.

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Institute for Community, Service-Learning and Nonprofit Leadership at Slippery Rock University will host its Kids' Day at College to provide local fourth graders a day of college life.The event will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 4.The program offers students the chance to attend two classes. New Castle St. Walk-ins will be welcome.Insurance seminar for seniors slatedRepresentatives from the Pennsylvania Insurance Department will conduct an insurance seminar for seniors from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. April 15 at the Butler Public Library, North McKean Street.Topics will include choosing a continued care community, long-term care insurance, annuities, and senior citizens and medicare recipients.This program is free, and registration is required.
