SRU president gets contract extension
HARRISBURG — Slippery Rock University President Cheryl Norton has had her contract extended.
The State System of Higher Education Board of Governors on Tuesday voted to extend Norton’s contract through June 30, 2017, according to a state system news release.
Norton was hired in 2012 and started work in June of that year. She replaced retiring President Robert Smith.
Her annual salary is $225,000.
