Thomas J. Carr Sr.
Thomas J. Carr Sr., 79, of Connoquenessing passed away Wednesday at the VNA Inpatient Hospice, Butler.
Born March 18, 1935, in Darby, he was the son of the late Charles and Lilly Fannean Carr.
He retired in 1997 from the United Methodist Conference Center, where he worked in the maintenance department.
He was a member of Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, enjoyed duckpin bowling and golfing. He was an avid storyteller and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Surviving are his wife, Bernie Guiste Carr, who he married Feb. 16, 1963; his son, Thomas J. (Nancy) Carr Jr. of Phoenixville; his two daughters, Connie (John) Stobert of Renfrew, and Jennifer (Richard) Roxbury of Butler; his two grandsons, Derek Stobert and Eric Carr; his three granddaughters, Rachel Carr and Laken and Madison Roxbury; his sister, Mary Andrillo of Philadelphia; his numerous nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Chuck Huff.
He was preceded in death by his four brothers and two sisters.
