Hedwig Vaughn
Hedwig Vaughn, 89, of Renfrew passed away Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.
Born on Feb. 1, 1926, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Konrad and Hedwig Hoffken Hesse of Pittsburgh.
She was a homemaker and a member of the former Calvary Presbyterian Church in Butler.
Hedwig is survived by her husband, Richard E. Vaughn, who she married on Oct. 21, 1950; her son, Robert K. Vaughn and his wife, Doreen, of Cranberry Township; her four grandchildren, Robert K. Vaughn Jr. and his wife, Barbara, of Connoquenessing, Melissa Vaughn of Cranberry Township, Elspeth Vaughn of Pittsburgh, and Rhiannon Vaughn of Pittsburgh; and her great-granddaughter, Cecily Vaughn of Pittsburgh.
She also is survived by her daughter-in-law, Roberta “Bobby” Wanner; her two sisters, Mary Meredith of D'Hanis, Texas, and Martha Barchfeld and her husband, Justin, of D'Hanis, Texas; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Richard E. Vaughn Jr., and her sister, Irmgard Mockus.
Vaughn— The friends of Hedwig Vaughn, who passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
