Martha A. Hufhand, 85, passed away on Friday.

She was born Oct. 14, 1932, in Kittanning. She was the daughter of the late Earl Claypool and the late Susan (Fichthorn) Claypool.

Martha worked for the VA Hospital as a secretary to the director for 40 years. She also worked for Center Township for 10 years.

Martha enjoyed painting and reading.

Martha is survived by one daughter, Chrisse (Patrick) Kelly of Kinsale, Va.; three grandchildren, Charity Reges, Nicholas Reges and William Reges; five great-grandchildren, Zachary Reges, Leslie Colonello, Tiffany Reges, Kyle Hoffman and Levi Hoffman; one brother, Ross Claypool of Florida; one sister, Helen Bertolo of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Ross Hufhand and William R. Hufhand Jr.; and one sister, Betty Haley.
