George J. Oswald

George J. Oswald, 79, of Saxonburg, passed away on May 4, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Jan. 23, 1942, in Butler, he was the son of Gerald A. Oswald and Edith M. Lucas Oswald.

Throughout his career he was involved in sales, trucking and security.

He was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption R.C. Church in Glenshaw.

He was involved with his grandchildren, and he enjoyed his 1946 Willys Jeep.

Surviving are his wife, Mary Louise Slizeski Oswald; two sons, Gerald J. (Stephanie) Oswald of Saxonburg, and John J. (Lynette) Oswald of Butler; his daughter, Debra A. Bower of Springdale, Pa.; and seven grandchildren, Evan, Kyle, Derek, Suzanne, William, Ross and Brittney.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

OSWALD — There will be no visitation for George J. Oswald, who died Tuesday, May 4, 2021.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary of the Assumption Roman Catholic Church in Herman, with the Rev. Matt McClain officiating.

Interment will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Herman.

Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg, has been entrusted with arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Disabled American Veterans, or St. Jude Hospital.
