Ralph H. Peffer Jr.

Ralph H. Peffer Jr., 74, of Butler, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, while under the care of Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born Sept. 9, 1946, in Lancaster Township, he was the son of the late Ralph H. Peffer Sr. and Margaret Baker Peffer.

Ralph retired from Johns Manville/BNZ Materials after 46 years of service.

He was an avid golfer, and was known to be a beer snob, especially enjoying his craft beers. He loved traveling with his wife and good friends, Jim and Loette. His favorite trip was to Alaska. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren.

Ralph leaves behind, to cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Charlene Blackstock Peffer, whom he married April 21, 1973; his children, Jeremy (Dana) Peffer of Butler, Sara Peffer of Zelienople, and Steven (Shawna) Peffer of Salem, Va.; his grandchildren, Ethan, Lucian, Olivia and Ashton; his sister, Janice Zacherl of Gibsonia; and several nieces and nephews.

PEFFER — Services for Ralph H. Peffer Jr., who died Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, will be held privately by his family.

He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Burial Estates in Butler.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home & Cremation Center of Connoquenessing, 856 Evans City Road, Renfrew.
