Anna Rose “Ann” Slagle

Anna Rose “Ann” Slagle, 85, of Callery passed away on Sunday while under the care of Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Born April 26, 1933, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Dufford and Monica Zahradnik Dufford.

Ann was a graduate of Evans City High School and in her earlier years, worked for Isaly's in Evans City.

She married John F. Slagle Sr., who preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2010.

One of Ann's favorite things to do was to spend time at the casinos.

She will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Kathy Dufford of Renfrew, Don Forringer of New York City, John Slagle Jr. of Callery, and Dan Slagle of Callery; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother, Martin Dufford and his wife, Pam, of Butler; two sisters, Betty Smith and her husband, Ron, of Connoquenessing, and Bertha Dufford, a resident at Sunnyview; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Ann was preceded in death by her brothers, George, Clarence, Robert and Harold; and her sisters, Rose McCoy and Doris Fair.

SLAGLE — Family and friends of Anna Rose “Ann” Slagle, who died Sunday, June 17, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.Funeral services for Ann will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Rosalyn Kummer officiating.She will be laid to rest at Pinewood Memorial Gardens in Cranberry Township.Expressions of sympathy may be shared with Ann's family at www.boylanfuneralservices.com.
