Kathleen Westcott

Kathleen Ann Westcott, 78, of Zelienople, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021, while under the care of Passavant Retirement Community, surrounded by her loving family.

Born Sept. 29, 1942, in Pittsburgh, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Audrey Livolsi Smola.

Kathy worked at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh as a financial aid officer for 10 years before retiring to take care of her grandchildren. She was also a certified interpreter for the deaf. Her greatest joys were spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and holding hands with her husband on the beach.

She was the beloved wife of 58 years to Joseph Westcott; mother to Joseph Westcott Jr., Monica Westcott, and Valerie (Jim) Checkeye; grandmother to Joseph Westcott, Zachary (Karah Kummer) Westcott, and Ashley Cmar; great-grandmother to DeAnna and Maximus Cmar; and sister to the late Frank Smola Jr.

Westcott — Friends of Kathleen Ann Westcott, who died Tuesday, July 6, 2021, will be received from 5 p.m. until the time of the Celebration of Life Service at 7 p.m. at the Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople. Friday with the Rev. Brandon Lenhart, officiating.
