Garrett Joseph Fifield
Garrett Joseph Fifield, 15, of Butler, passed away Thursday at his residence.
Born in Sandusky, Ohio, on June 6, 2002, Garrett was the son of Robert D. Fifield Jr. and Amy P. (Shakely) Fifield.
He was a tenth grade student at Butler Senior High School.
Garrett possessed a great sense of humor. He was a very caring young man who was helpful to others. He loved animals, especially birds. He also enjoyed video games and scary movies, especially Alien Predator.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Amy Fifield and Robert G. Hiles Jr., of Butler; his father, Robert D. Fifield Jr., of Castalia, Ohio; his maternal grandmother, Carol J. Shakely, of Butler; his paternal grandparents, Robert D. and Donna Fifield Sr., of Castalia, Ohio; his stepgrandparents, Robert and Barbara Hiles Sr., of Petrolia; two uncles, G. Robert Shakely and his wife, Miriam, of Butler, and Tony Shakely and his wife, Kay, of Butler; one aunt, Kelly Reep and her husband, John, of Butler; and two step-uncles, Duane Hiles, of Petrolia, and Michael Hiles and his wife, Erin, of Lancaster, Pa.
Garrett is also survived by his cousins Andrew, Samantha and her husband, Adam, Brandon and his fiancée, Ashley, Rebecca, Trevor, Rachel, Cody, Audrey, Sophia, Dominic, Raymond, Tyler, Emily, Kaylee, Riley, Dylan, Cole, Gabby, and Gavin; along with an extremely large extended family that loved him.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Gary L. Shakely; his uncle, Daniel D. Fifield; his maternal great-grandparents, Anthony and Victoria Sgro; his paternal great-grandmother, Joyce Woolf; and his step-great-grandmother, Nancy Hiles.
