Vance “Tim” Louis Snyder
Vance “Tim” Louis Snyder, 84, of West Sunbury passed away on Monday at the Good Samaritan Hospice in Cabot.
Tim was born Aug. 28, 1933, in Butler. He was the son of the late George L. Snyder and the late Claire A. Mangel Snyder.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving during the Korean War.
Tim was a member of St. Alphonsus Parish.
He was a financial analyst for Westinghouse Credit in Pittsburgh.
Tim enjoyed bowling, playing cards with his family and his scratch off lottery tickets.
Tim is survived by two daughters, Theresa M. (Mark) McCaslin of West Sunbury, and Eileen M. (Steve) Barry of Butler; two sons, James P. Snyder and George R. (Vanessa) Snyder, both of West Sunbury; nine grandchildren, Craig (Krista) McCaslin, Patrick McCaslin, Maura McCaslin, Rachel (Bradley) Marra, Nathan Barry, Jennifer (William) Smith, Shayla (Brian) Snyder-Geibel, Krista Snyder and Nicholas Snyder; and three great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Kora and Jayce.
Also surviving are two sisters, Patricia Cousins of Butler, and Linda Morrow of Huntingdon, W.Va.; and one brother, George “Pete” Snyder of Butler.
Tim was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine Ann Pry Snyder, who died Feb. 6, 2013; two brothers; and two sisters.
SNYDER — The family of Vance “Tim” Louis Snyder, who died Monday, Aug. 6, 2018, will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church with the Rev.
