Dennis Michael Kacsan
Dennis Michael Kacsan, 70, of Worth Township passed away Monday at his home.
He was born Feb. 19, 1947, in North Versailles to Michael John Kacsan and Helen A. Gobbel Kacsan.
He married Faith Jarosz on Feb. 11, 1989. Dennis retired from Duquesne Light, where he had been a supervising electrical engineer.
Dennis graduated from Wilmerding High School and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He served as a member of the Ohio Township Volunteer Fire Co., as well as serving on the Worth Township Planning Commission.
He was an avid sportsman and loved hunting, fishing and working with heavy equipment, including the backhoe and other “toys.”
Dennis is survived by his wife, Faith Jarosz-Kacsan at home; his sister, Phyllis Yodonis (Francis) of North Versailles, Pa.; his sister-in-law, Joyce Schoenberger (Regis) of Sigel, Pa.; his brother-in-law, Kye Jarosz (Pam) of Saxonburg; three nephews, Francis, Jeff and Todd Yodonis; and his two great-nephews, Christopher and Nicholas Yodonis.
KACSAN — Family will receive friends of Dennis Michael Kacsan, who died Monday, Feb. 27, 2017, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle, St., Slippery Rock and from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Slippery Rock Baptist Church, 435 Kiester Road, Slippery Rock, with the Rev. Dr. Chad Bailey presiding.Family and public are invited to attend the interment service with full military honors at 11 a.m. Monday at the Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville.
