Harmony Museum, 218 Mercer St., Harmony, will host its annual Herb & Garden Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. A fiber arts festival also will share the Center of Harmony and the museum’s Stewart Hall, 218 Mercer St., while elsewhere there will be artist demonstrations, live music, food and refreshments. The plant exchange and garden market is at the museum’s 1805 barn annex, 303 Mercer Road. Free Garden Fair parking is available on barn grounds. A free shuttle provided by the Harmony Inn links other parking facilities, the diamond, shops and barn. The museum has joined the Blue Star Museums collaboration of the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, Department of Defense and more than 2,000 museums to offer free admission through Labor Day to military active duty, National Guard and Reserves personnel and their families.

The Old Stone House will again offer “Foodways Programs,” a series of summer-fall cooking classes. All classes run 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with participants receiving hands-on training. Bake oven classes are available June 20, July 18, Aug. 15 and Sept. 19. Open hearth cooking classes will be July 11, Aug. 8, Sept. 12 and Oct. 10. Drake Well Museum, 202 Museum Lane, Titusville, on Saturday will host the sixth installment of Something More Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be live music by the Elm Street Strummers as well as spinning and weaving demonstrations by the Northwest Pennsylvania Spinners and Weavers Guild. Something More Saturday programs are included in the regular admission of $10 for ages 12 to 64, $8 for senior citizens, and $5 for youths 3 to 11. Active military and their families and children younger than 3 are admitted free. A special rate available for families is $20 for two adults and three children. Children’s Museum, Allegheny Square, opens “Very Eric Carle: A Very Hungry, Quiet, Lonely, Clumsy, Busy Exhibit” on Saturday. Museum admission is $14 for adults and $13 for children ages 2 to 18 and senior citizens. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Visit www.pittsburghkids.org.

Carnegie Science Center, North Side, will offer USS Requin submarine behind-the-scenes “Tech Tours” on Sunday and June 28; July 12 and 26; and Aug. 9 and 23. Heinz History Center, 1212 Smallman St., continues the “We Can Do It!” exhibit exploring Western Pennsylvania’s impact on the home, industrial, and battle fronts during World War II. Phipps Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, 700 Frank Curto Drive, continues the Summer Flower Show through Oct. 5. The Butterfly Forest is open through Sept. 7.
