Butler County Historical Society will present the third annual “Echoes from Our Past — Historic Cemetery Walk” at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Sept. 26 and at 2 p.m. Sept. 27 at Butler's North Side Cemetery, 1002 N. Main St. The event brings history to life through costumed actors portraying the characters and events of Butler County's ancestors. Tickets are $14 for the general public and $10 for historical society members and Butler Little Theatre season ticket holders. Proceeds benefit the historical society and the BLT. Tickets are available now, and sales will end at noon Sept. 25. No tickets will be available the day of the event. Mars Shortline Railroad has tiny train rides available. As long as weather allows, adults and children can catch rides from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Fridays and 1 to 4 p.m. Saturdays through September at the Mars History and Landmark Society's restored small scale B&O Train Station south of downtown at 1 Brickyard Road. The Old Stone House has cooking classes. Bake oven classes are Sept. 19. Open hearth cooking classes are Sept. 12 and Oct. 10. Oil Creel & Titusville Railroad hosts a murder mystery dinner and train ride, “Movie Mayhem: Murder in the Sixth Sense” on Saturday. The evening begins at 5 p.m. at the Perry Street Station, 409 S. Perry St., Titusville, with a buffet dinner. The train departs at 6:15 p.m. and returns to the depot around 9 p.m. for dessert and the resolution of the play. Cost is $65 and reservations are required. Free Science Days on Saturday and Sept. 27 will offer free general admission thanks to the Jack Buncher Foundation.
