Russell H. Yanssens

Russell H. Yanssens, 63, formerly of Ellwood City, passed away Thursday at his residence in Clintonville.

Russell was born April 10, 1954, in Ellwood City. He was a son of the late Robert E. and Irene (Hudspath) Yanssens.

He had attended Lincoln High School and the Lillyville Church of God.

Russell had worked at ITC for seven years and Aiken Refuse for 15 years. As an outdoorsman, Russell enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his daughter, PFC Anna Zilka, who is stationed at Fort Carson, Colo.; his sisters, Linda Gordon and Rebecca (Loren) Hagerman, both of Ellwood City; his brothers, Robert (Colleen) Yanssens of Ellwood City, Richard (Renee) Yanssens of Kenerdell, Darryl (Cindy) Yanssens and Clifford Yanssens, both of Ellwood City, and Preston (Michelle) Yanssens of Kenerdell; and his dog, Hunter.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his brother-in-law, William Gordon.

YANSSENS — Visitation for Russell H. Yanssens, who died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2017, will be held from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 309 Spring Ave., Ellwood City.
