Patricia Lee Redlich Stewart, 95, of Slippery Rock, and formerly of Bradenton, Fla., passed away at Quality Life Services in Grove City on Sunday, May 8, 2022.

She was born March 31, 1927, in Pine Township, Allegheny County, to Jack Redlich and Floris Williams Redlich.

Patricia married Robert Roy Stewart on Feb. 6, 1948, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 6, 2000.

Patricia’s life revolved around taking care of her family. She was a voracious reader and enjoyed all kinds of books. She was a great role model, and taught her children how to care for and be kind to others. She displayed a special care for animals.

Patricia and her husband, Robert, were involved with the early development of Disney World and the U.S. space program. They lived in Orlando, along the space coast in Florida, and spent their retirement in Bradenton, Fla. She moved to Slippery Rock nearly eight years ago to spend time with her son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren.

Survivors include her son, Dale R. (Rita) Stewart, of Slippery Rock; her daughter-in-law, Carol Stewart, of Cape Coral, Fla.; her brother, Ted Redlich, of Baton Rouge, La.; four grandchildren, Adam Stewart, Tara Craft, Mark Stewart and Carrie Radcliffe; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her son, David; and her brother, Randal Redlich.

STEWART — Friends of Patricia Lee Redlich Stewart, who died Sunday, May 8, 2022, are invited to visit the family from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock.

Patricia will be entombed in a mausoleum located at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens in Fort Myers, Fla., with the family having a brief service there.
