Norma D. Hoffman, 85, of Cranberry Township, formerly of Mars and Gibsonia, passed away following a brief illness on Saturday morning, May 7, 2022, at UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Township.

Born in Greene County, Pa., on Nov. 17, 1936, she was the daughter of the late J. Russell and Margaret Lightner Stockdale.

As a beautician, Norma had worked at Betty Ann’s Hair Salon in Mars. She also worked for Dr. Costello’s chiropractic office in North Hills.

Norma had been a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Bakerstown, and the Mars Junior Women’s Club.

Norma enjoyed weekly ballroom dancing, gardening and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Surviving are her daughters, Melissa Damiano, of Chesterfield, Va., and Melinda Tobolewski, of Cranberry Township; her grandchildren, Angela Damiano (Andrew King), Kyle Damiano (Lynsey), and Madeline and Alaine Tobolewski; and her great-grandchildren, Max and Diana King, and Thomas and Claudia Damiano.

Norma was preceded in death by her son, Michael Hoffman; and two sisters, Arlene Miller and Shirley Kennedy.

HOFFMAN —Friends of Norma D. Hoffman, who died Saturday, May 7, 2022, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with the Rev. Jeff Lawther officiating.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.
