Wayne R. Anthony
Wayne R. Anthony, 74, of Butler passed away Sunday at Butler Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 15, 1941, in Butler, the son of the late Franklin Houston Anthony and Regina (Leibler) Anthony.
Wayne retired from shipping in Plant 2 at ARMCO with 39 years.
Wayne was a member of the Grace @ Calvary Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Italian Club and the Butler Elks. He had been involved with the Butler Basketball Boosters as a board member and the Butler Baseball Association as a board member and a coach for 20 years. He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan. He enjoyed computer games and singing karaoke and the Oldies. Most important to Wayne was spending time with his family.
Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Eric (Traci) Gaiser of Butler and Regina Schmidt of Butler; four sons, Wayne (Kim) Anthony Jr. of Butler, Bryan (Robin) Anthony of Knox, Randall Anthony of Butler and Frank Anthony of Butler; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandson; and her sister, Marlene Crouch of Bristol, Tenn.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Wanda Anthony; and his sister, Norma Shank.
