Donald Joseph Moran

Donald Joseph Moran, 73, of Butler passed away Friday at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh from recent complications of his 2016 lung transplant.

Born July 13, 1944, in Bellevue, he was the son of the late Joseph and Frances Kovacic Moran.

Don loved to fish and attend auctions. He and his wife, Barbara, renovated seven homes and he owned and operated his own flooring business for 35 years. Above all, Don loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed and fondly remembered.

Don leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, Barbara Moran of Butler, whom he married Dec. 5, 1975; his children, Sara Isacco and her husband, Josh, of Butler, Donald Jonathan Moran and his wife, Mindy, of Butler, and Regina Moran Rosario and her husband, Manny, of New York, N.Y.; his grandchildren, Anthony Isacco, Sebastian, Liam and Moses Moran, Annabel and Jonah Rosario; his sister, Janice Moran Friel; and his nephew, Matthew Friel and his wife, Nichole.

In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Butch.
