SRU to host PSAC baseball title tourney
SLIPPERY ROCK — Starting Wednesday and running through Saturday, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference will hold its championship tournament at Slippery Rock University’s Jack Critchfield Park.
This will be the first time in 15 years that the tournament will be played on-site at one of the conference’s member institutions. The last time, in 2007, was at SRU, as well.
Having compiled a 32-14 regular season record, Slippery Rock is seeded second in the West in the eight-team bracket. The Rock will kick off Wednesday’s four-game, single-elimination slate against Shippensburg (26-22), the third seed in the East, at 9:30 a.m.
