Glen O. Bachman

Glen O. Bachman, 84, of Butler passed away Saturday at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.

Born April 30, 1933, in Butler, he was a son of the late Otto Aaron and Florence (Trimbur) Bachman.

He worked as a network manager for Sprint, retiring in 1991 following 43 years of service.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Glen was a lifetime member of St. Mark Lutheran Church in Butler. He was also a member of the Junior Achievement Advisory Board, Butler County Vo-Tech School Electronics Advisory Committee, the Butler County Chamber of Commerce and coached for a Little League baseball team. Glen enjoyed woodworking, building furniture and metal trailers, hobby trains, and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife, Joan Gold Bachman, whom he married Aug. 16, 1953; his children, Timothy O. (Jill) Bachman. Matthew J. Bachman and Tracy Bachman, all of Butler; four grandchildren, Samantha, Suzanne, Alex and Max; a sister, Eileen (Merle) Shearer of Sarver; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Jean Allen; and a brother, Harry Louis Bachman.

BACHMAN — Friends of Glen O. Bachman, who died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Geibel Funeral Home, 201 E. Cunningham St., Butler.Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Mark Lutheran Church, 201 W. Jefferson St., Butler.
