Samuel L. Hamilton

Samuel L. Hamilton, 86, formerly of Portersville died Monday at Autumn Grove Health Center.

Born Dec. 14, 1931, in Bradys Bend, he was the son of Thomas B. and Bertha (Bowser) Hamilton.

On June 14, 1951, Sam married the former Delores Greenawalt. She preceded him in death on Dec. 15, 2012.

Sam was a member of the Teamsters union and loved being a truck driver. If he wasn't driving a truck, you could always find him working around the house.

He is survived by one daughter, Linda Riemer of Butler; one son, Stephen (Dorothy) Hamilton of Slippery Rock; one granddaughter, Amber (Harold) Hart of Uniontown; three grandsons, Samuel (Leah) Riemer of Butler, Scott Riemer of New Castle and Jeremy Hamilton of Portersville.

Sam is also survived by two great-grandsons, Joshua and Harold Hart III of Uniontown; and one sister, Creda (Glen) Hornberger of Kaylor.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; two sons; one son-in-law; five sisters; and four brothers.

HAMILTON — Friends of Samuel L. Hamilton, who died Monday, March 26, 2018, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 707 Kellys Way, East Brady.A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Tom Meling of the Slippery Rock Zion Baptist Church officiating.Burial in Bradys Bend Cemetery will be private.To view or express condolences, please visit www.BuecheleFuneralHome.com.
