PITTSBURGH — Youths who wear a youth baseball or softball jersey on Friday will enjoy free general admission to Carnegie Science Center, as presented by Pirates Charities.

The Pirate Parrot visits at 2:30 p.m. Visitors can check out the new Batter Up! exhibit or swing a bat through a pair of laser beams to see their swing speed. For information, call 412-237-3400.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Artists Network will kick off its 2017 Martinis with Monet art exhibition with a reception from 7 to 9 p.m. July 12 at the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road.

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door. The reception event benefits the Community Chest and is part of Community Days.
