Mary “Nanny” E. Cosentino
Mary “Nanny” E. Cosentino, 97, of Cabot, passed away Sunday at the Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born Nov. 9, 1919, she was the daughter of John Traggiai and Dia Ottolini Traggiai.
Mary was a cafeteria monitor for the South Butler County School District and a homemaker. She was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot, where she was a member of the Christian Mothers, and, until her death, she was the oldest lifelong member. She was also a member of the Cabot A&R and the Saxonburg American Legion Auxiliary, and she was a Democratic Committee Woman. She was a member of various bowling leagues, enjoyed word games, card playing and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her son, Dennis (Barbara) Cosentino, of Ruidoso, N.M.; her daughter, Debora (Perry) Dawson, of Cabot; her daughter, Mary Jo (Dennis) Chretien, of Foster, R.I.; her daughter, Carol (David) Lesnick, of Jeannette, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joseph F. Cosentino; one sister, Amelia Traggiai; two brothers, Amelio and Dario Traggiai; and one grandson, John Cosentino.
CONSENTINO — Friends of Mary “Nanny” E. Cosentino, who died Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church with the Rev. Mark Pattock officiating.
