AMBRIDGE — Master Tim Wentling, 46, of Butler won gold and silver medals at the Black-Belt Masters Tournament in Ambridge.

Wentling competed in judo and Jiu-Jitsu. He has 33 years of fighting experience.

CLARION — Clarion University's Memorial Stadium will be the site of Saturday's 1 p.m. PIAA Class AA quarterfinal football game between Karns City (12-1) and South Fayette (13-0).

SLIPPERY ROCK — The Slippery Rock University men's and women's basketball teams will sponsor a project to benefit the Slippery Rock Senior Center Dec. 18.The Rock will host West Chester in a basketball doubleheader that day at Morrow Field House. PITTSBURGH — Butler graduate and La Roche College freshman women's basketball player Mackenzie O'Donnell has been named the school's Athlete of the Week.O'Donnell scored 11 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in a 69-45 win over Carlow, then scored 21 points and snared eight boards in a 78-68 victory over St. Vincent.O'Donnell is averaging 14.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game this season.
