Shirley Larraine (Nash) Burke
Shirley Larraine (Nash) Burke, 83, of Slippery Rock passed away Tuesday at Good Samaritan Hospice, Cabot.
She was born on May 16, 1930, in Pittsburgh to the late John and Marcella (Smith) Nash.
She worked at the mushroom mine as a laborer and house attendant.
She attended the St. John Roman Catholic Church.
She enjoyed playing cards and bingo with friends, while lifting the spirits of others.
She is survived by her children, Patty (Michael) Landgraf of Fenelton, Joseph G. (Diane) Burke of Slippery Rock, Debbie Koss of Cabot and Tim (Wanda) Burke of Texas; her brothers, Jack Nash, Jim Nash and David Nash; her sister, Sally Marshall; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph P. Burke; and her sisters, Dorothy Mortimer, Delarous Huey and Norma Mortimer.
BURKE — Friends of Shirley Larraine (Nash) Burke, who died Tuesday, June 11, 2013, will be received from 1 to 3 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at the F. DUANE SNYDER FUNERAL HOME, 119 Bear St., Worthington. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the St. John Roman Catholic Church in Coylesville. Interment will be at St. John Church cemetery.
