CHERRY TWP — A Veterans Day program will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Dassa McKinney Elementary School, 391 Hooker Road.Parents, veterans and the community are invited to attend the program put on by the fourth grade classes.

RIMERSBURG, Clarion County — The Union High School Band will perform a public Veterans Day concert at 9 a.m. Wednesday the high school gymnasium, 354 Baker St.The concert will be held in conjunction with the annual Veterans Day program sponsored by the student council. LYNDORA — A Butler County veteran's luncheon will be held at 2 p.m. Nov. 14 at the American Legion 778, 100 Bessemer Ave. Tickets are available at any Butler County veterans club.

CRANBERRY TWP — The Cranberry Township Community Chest is sponsoring a clothing drive in November to benefit local families.The clothing drive is focused on students in kindergarten through sixth grades. New or gently used pants, slacks, shirts and sweaters are requested.Items can be dropped off at donation boxes in the Cranberry Township Municipal Center, 2525 Rochester Road, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Fridays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays.For information, call 724-776-4806, Ext. 1103.

Couples planning to be married over the Thanksgiving holiday should apply for their marriage license now. Pennsylvania law requires a waiting period.The Marriage License Bureau is in the Register of Wills and Clerk of Orphans' County Office, Level L, of the Butler County Government Center, 124 W. Diamond St.The last day to apply for a marriage license in time for a Thanksgiving weekend ceremony is Nov. 20.All holiday licenses must be picked up no later than 4 p.m. Nov. 25.
