Florence Hutzler Bricker

Florence Hutzler Bricker, 80, of Patterson Township, Beaver Falls, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 10.

She was born Aug. 6, 1934, in Saxonburg. She was the daughter of the late Harold and Mildred Johnston Hutzler.

She graduated from Butler High School and was a graduate of Providence School of Nursing. She retired as a registered nurse on the IV Team at Heritage Valley Hospital in Beaver. She was a member of St. Monica Parish and enjoyed gardening, making braided wool rugs and antique shopping. Her number one pride and joy was spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard N. Bricker Jr.; her mother-in-law, Dorothy Bricker; one brother, Harold Hutzler; and three sisters, Rita Chambers, Kay Steighner and Mary Ellen Mangol.

Surviving are her six children, Judy (Mark) Ceriani of Chippewa Township, Paul (Renee) Bricker of Olney, Md., Linda (Tom) Gravener of Patterson Township, Dan (Amy) Bricker of Highland Park, Ill., Carol (Michael) Goehring Douglass of Chippewa Township and Diane (Mark) Moses of New Castle; 14 grandchildren, Nick Ceriani, Emily and Bryan Bricker, John and Darby Bricker, Carissa, Jacob, Lucas, Francesca and Noah Goehring, Mark, Matthew, Martina and MacKenzie Moses; and two sisters, Shirley Pitlock of Saxonburg and Janet (Floyd) Kravits of Mystic, Conn.

BRICKER — Friends of Florence Hutzler Bricker, who died Friday, April 10, 2015, were received at Campbell's Funeral Home in Beaver Falls, where prayers were recited Tuesday morning, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. Monica's Church in Chippewa, celebrated by the Rev. Nick Mastrangelo, cousin to the family.Inurnment followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in Chippewa Township.
