David “Gus” Getty
David “Gus” Getty, 52, of New Sewickley Township passed away Wednesday surrounded by his loving family and friends.
He was a member of the Unionville American Legion.
He was an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, and he enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson.
He was a skilled and passionate carpenter and a loving father and grandfather.
He is survived by the love of his life, Karen (Dishler) Getty; three daughters, Shyanne Getty, Nevada Getty and Haylie Helbig; two sons, Kody Helbig and Ethan Helbig; three sisters, Diane (Tom) Funk, Darla McGee and Debbie Getty; two brothers, Duane Getty and Darren Getty; loving mother in law Patricia Sproull and father in law Ken Dishler; a grandson, Domenic Clyde; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Charlotte (Isett) Getty.
