Ethel Pearl Pryor Jones
Ethel Pearl Pryor Jones, 81, of Renfrew passed away Saturday in the ER at Butler Memorial Hospital, with her family by her side.
Born April 24, 1937, in Rose Point, Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Everett Boyce and Edna Pearl Rodgers Pryor.
She was a member of the Good Shepherd Church in Tionesta.
Early on she was a cook at Eppinger's Restaurant in Portersville and then a bus monitor for Laidlaw Transit.
She enjoyed cooking, camping and playing cards.
Ethel was a former member of the Ladies' Auxiliary at the Connoquenessing Fire Department.
She is survived by her children, Diane (Graham) Miller of Renfrew, Evelyn (Garry) Cumberland of Butler, Boyce Jones of Renfrew, Paul (Helen) Jones of Renfrew; 23 grandchildren; 48 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Thomas Jones Sr., whom she married March 16, 1955, and who died May 27, 2012; her children, Karen Pittman, Duane Thomas Jones Jr., and Richard Jones; and her sisters, Mary Margaret Stelter and Gertrude Irene Kniess.
JONES — Friends of Ethel Pearl Pryor Jones, who died Saturday, Dec. 22, 2018, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Edward L Raisley Funeral Home, 387 Main St., Prospect.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home with her family friend, the Rev.
