Raymond Edward Humphrey
Raymond Edward Humphrey, 69, of Slippery Rock, Worth Township, passed away at his home at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday.
Born in Salem, Ohio (Columbiana County), on Feb. 25, 1943, he was the son of Don W. Humphrey Sr. and Elinor Gray Humphrey. He married Shihuan “Candi” Wang on March 23, 2010.
He was director of field services for CMI Industries of Salem, Ohio, and a former employee of Armco Steel, now AK Steel, in Butler and Electric Furnace of Salem, Ohio. His work required worldwide travel.
He also was a lifelong farmer. He was interested in antique tractors and tractor pulling. He held office with the Western Pennsylvania Antique Tractor Pullers Association.
Survivors include his wife, Shihuan “Candi” Wang Humphrey at their home in Slippery Rock; two sons, Raymond Bruce Humphrey and his wife, Missy, of Magnolia, Ohio, and Kristopher Raymond Humphrey and his wife, Kayla, of Slippery Rock; three daughters, Robin Christine Park and her husband, Andrew, of Peterhead, Scotland, Noemi Christina Arthur and her husband, David, of Sterling, Va., and Raquel Fuhr and her husband, Shawn, of Volant; a stepson, Liyan of Ashan, China; his parents, Don W. and Elinor Humphrey of Sebring, Ohio; three brothers, Don W. Humphrey Jr. of Kensington, Ohio, David Lee Humphrey and his wife, Joyce, of Salem, Ohio, and James Hillis Humphrey of Coshocton, Ohio; 10 grandchildren, Ashtyn, Chandler, Nieva and Kaine Humphrey, Brooke, Alexandra and Robert Park, Gibson Arthur, Stargell and Hart Fuhr; and his former wife Noemi Baez-Lopez of Slippery Rock.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Hanna Fuhr.
HUMPHREY — Funeral services for Raymond Edward Humphrey, who passed away Tuesday, April 10, 2012, will be at the
Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock at 11 a.m. Saturday with the Rev. James H. Humphrey, brother of Raymond, presiding.Family and friends will be received at Smith Funeral Home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday.Interment will be at South Plain Cemetery, Plain Grove Township, Lawrence County.Memorial contributions may be given to the Western Pennsylvania Antique Tractor Pullers Association, 1577 Plain Grove Road, Volant, PA 16156.
