MARS — A new play group will meet at 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays at Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave.

MIDDLESEX TWP — Holy Sepulcher Church will host its fifth annual fair trade market from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 9 in the cafeteria of Holy Sepulcher Catholic School, 6515 Old Route 8.The sale will support a mission school in Patzún, Guatemala, and will include jewelry, household items, Christmas decorations, toys, games, coffees, teas and chocolates.The merchandise will be from Ten Thousand Villages which promotes artisans worldwide. Products designated fair trade are created with fair wages, sustainable practices and community development.Admission is free and 15 percent of the proceeds will go directly to San Bernardino School in Patzún.For more information, contact Pat Shaffer at 724-898-2424.

EAST BUTLER — Butler Outdoor Club will hold its 19th annual dinner Nov. 9 at East Butler Fire Hall, 808 Grant Ave.A silent auction will begin at 5 p.m. and dinner will be at 7 p.m.Roast beef and ham dinners will be offered as well as a 50/50 raffle and door prizes.Joan Young, the first woman to hike the entire North Country Trail from North Dakota to New York, will give a fast-paced multi-media presentation.Reservations are required by Nov. 1. MARS — Beginning in November, Mars Public Library, 107 Grand Ave., will offer these holiday story times for children ages 3 to 5:10:30 a.m. Nov. 18 and 251 p.m. Nov. 12, 19 and 2610:30 a.m. Nov. 15, 22 and 29.For infants to age 3, the library will offer story times at 10:30 a.m. Nov. 13, 20 and 27.Registration is required.
