[naviga:h3]Special education meeting set Jan. 10[/naviga:h3]

Parents of children with disabilities are welcome to a “Right to Education” meeting from 10 a.m. to noon Jan. 10 in Grove City.

Such meetings are held throughout the state on a monthly basis from September through May with the exception of December, according to the director of special education’s office.

Attendees are connected with advocates for students and families who receive special education.

This particular meeting serves students and parents in Butler, Lawrence and Mercer counties.

The meeting is at the Midwestern Intermediate Unit IV, which is located at 453 Maple St. in Grove City.

[naviga:h3]Cheerleaders plan Sunnyview visit[/naviga:h3]

A group of residents at Sunnyview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Butler plan to decorate gingerbread cookies with Butler High School’s varsity cheerleaders.

A group of Sunnyview residents known as “peers” will meet with the cheerleaders in the activity room Thursday afternoon.

The peers are a group of about 14 residents and in-house ombudsmen for the community at large.

Rep. Pyle’s office notes holiday hours

The district office hours for Rep. Jeff Pyle, R-60th, will change during the holidays.

Sarver and Ford City offices will close from Dec. 24 through 27 and on Dec. 31. The Ford City office will be open from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 28 for any emergencies that may arise.
