Schurko

John C. Schurko Jr., 59, of Zelienople, passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

He was born in Bellevue, on Oct. 19, 1962, and was the son of the late John and Barbara (Pearsall) Schurko Sr.

John graduated from North Allegheny Class of 1980.

He worked in carpentry and construction most of his life. He also managed restaurants in the downtown Pittsburgh area.

John enjoyed spending his spare time with family, friends and pets, and hunting, fishing, riding motocross, barbecuing and reading Scripture. He was known to be quick witted, strong spirited, good humored, loyal, and never hesitated to defend the people he loved.

John was the father of John E. Schurko and Benjamin Schurko; brother of Chad Schurko and Todd Schurko; and nephew to Carrie Pearsall.

He is also survived by his loyal dog, Sam Schurko.

SCHURKO — Family and friends of John C. Schurko Jr., who died Sunday, May 1, 2022, will be received from 1:30 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2022, at the Beveridge Pavilion, North Park, Allison Park.
