Janet Codispot

Janet M. Codispot, 74, of Butler passed away Sunday at her home.

Born on Nov. 4, 1938, in Butler, she was the daughter of the late Vincent James Fudoli and Mary Esther Grennek Fudoli.

A graduate of the Butler Memorial Hospital School of Nursing, she was employed at Butler Memorial Hospital for 35 years, working in OPS 2.

She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church, where she was a very active volunteer. She was an extremely devoted grandmother, as well as an avid reader.

She is survived by her husband, Veto F. Codispot, to whom she was married for 53 years; one daughter, Carole J. Russo of Butler; one son, B. Vincent Codispot and his wife, Janalee, of Butler; one sister, Frances Angeloni and her husband, Donald, of Butler, and three grandchildren, Alison Russo, Vinnie Codispot and Philip Russo.

Codispot — The friends of Janet M. Codispot, who passed away Sunday Sept. 15, 2013, will be received in the Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler, from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.Entombment will take place in the Chapel of Devotion Mausoleum at Butler County Memorial Park.The Bereavement Group of St. Michael the Archangel Parish will meet at the funeral home at 3 p.m. Tuesday to conduct a scriptural wake service.In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Butler Area Public Library.For more information, go to www.martinfh.net.
