Barbara J. Kiester
Barbara J. Kiester, 69, of West Sunbury passed away Monday at Butler Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with an extended illness. Barb fought the good fight of faith.
Barbara was born Oct. 5, 1948, in Cleveland, Ohio. She was the daughter of the late Robert Wertman and the late Suzanne (Knox) Wertman.
She was a former member of West Unity Church and volunteered at the Moniteau Food Bank at Concord Church.
Barb worked as an alcohol and drug counselor at Geiser Addiction Center.
She was a gardener and an avid fisherman. She loved her pets and all wildlife. She loved playing Scrabble and loved spending time with her family. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother.
Barb is home now with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She would want us all to know the importance of salvation.
Barb is survived by her husband, Dennis J. Kiester of West Sunbury; one daughter; Tania Lovric of Butler; one granddaughter, Madison M. Lovric of Butler; one sister, Melissa Bolin of Richmond, Va.; and one brother, Jay (Amy) Wertman of Floyd, Va.
KIESTER — Friends and family of Barbara J. Kiester, who died Monday, Oct. 16, 2017, will be received from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.
